Training course

No formal environmental education in youth worker (France)

Each organization will send three participants to take part in the TC organized by Association P3A and targeting youth workers, trainers, educators and staff members. Participants will gain knowledge and skills in providing no-formal environmental education, promoting sustainability, ecology and no-waste, and human rights values among young people, using the technique of art, recycling and handcraft. After the TC, participants will be able to multiply and spread the methodology at the local level.

Youth Exchange

EMBRACE environmental education in youth action (Greece)

An international group of 35 young people (4 pax + 1 group leader from the previous TC per country) will be hosted by USB, in a hotel outside Thessaloniki, to learn about climate change, environment citizenships and human rights through handcraft laboratory for recycling, simulation games and no-formal activities led by participants from the previous TC. Participants will get in touch with other cultures and European programs while developing critical thinking and global approach and discussing sustainable solutions to act locally. In the end, they will produce short tutorial videos which will publish online to promote a sustainable lifestyle among their peers.

Handbook

The final Handbook has the aim to share international best practices, texted and implemented during the project, with other local organizations and institutions, making them aware of the variety of activities used to promote sustainability and environment education among young people and the community, giving them the possibility to apply the most suitable activities according to their needs and objectives. Also, it will be a toolkit for youth workers and youth organizations interested in introducing no-formal activities related to the topic in the daily work with young people, especially with vulnerable youth, who have less opportunity to receive a sustainable education and who live in areas more exposed to pollution and dangerous for their health.

Study Visits

First Study Visit: Environmental health and prevention (India)

The mobility will be hosted by DISHA presenting its local activities/projects about cleanliness, health and prevention, and local partners and stakeholders. Also, one-day activities will be dedicated to EVOL, which will share its good practices with partners since it has not a study visit planned. The event will be attended by 3 representatives for European organizations + 2 from USB.The visit aims at exchanging good practices, increase partners knowhow, improve capabilities to provide no-formal environmental education, as well as the technical scope to gather materials for the Handbook.

Second Study visit: Environmental citizenship, responsibility and green entrepreneurship (Italy)

The mobility will be hosted by NHO present its local initiatives and successful projects to make youngsters environmentally active in rural areas, and local partners and stakeholders. Also, one- day activities of the visit, will be dedicated to BVBP, which will present its good practices to partners since it has not a study visit planned.The visit aims at exchanging good practices, increase partners knowhow, improve capabilities to provide no-formal environmental education, as well as the technical scope to gather materials for the Handbook.
