The project aims to increase the capacity of 7 youth organizations to provide non-formal environmental education and empower young people to be environmentally active. Indeed, youngsters are the most exposed to climate changes, increasing pollution and certain health diseases (such as lung cancer, heart disease and acute respiratory infections, notes the World Health Organization) and youth organizations play an essential role in youth education and preparing them to become responsible citizens with global values.
Also, the project supports the new EU youth strategy, prioritizing youth concern for environmental protection by increasing their involvement in sustainable programs, while, opens the door to organizations and young people to connect with European partner countries facing similar issues for fostering mobility, education and volunteering.
